About Me

Hi! I'm Lucas, a software engineer at Cashmere AI, working on building new tools at the intersection of fintech and AI. I recently received my M.S. in Quantum Computing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, after completing my B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics. I'm passionate about using technology to solve problems and create meaningful experiences.

Previously, I worked as a software engineering intern at vRad (Virtual Radiologic), where I built full-stack teleradiology software. I also led a team a team as an AI researcher and software manager in the school of Educational Psychology, developing LLM powered educational tools used in published research. My graduate research focused on applying CNNs and GANs to improve the speed and fidelity of neutral-atom quantum computer readout.

I'm also the founder of Blur, a student only anonymous social media app focused on campus community and authenticity. We grew the pre-launch community to over 2,500 students, joined a local startup accelerator, and received a $5K grant to support our development.

In my free time, I enjoy working on side projects, solving Rubik's cubes, playing video games, reading, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.
